It is hand-carved on a wheel-thrown and trimmed porcelain vase, with hand-built and painted butterflies. The vase is then coated with a clear glaze and fired at 2200 F. The inside is also coated with the same glaze, and the vase is fired for the third time with 22K gold luster.
To maintain the vase's longevity, it is crucial to handle it with care and avoid any sudden impact on the butterflies. If the vase is bumped on a hard surface, the butterflies may chip or break off. To clean the vase, simply wipe it clean.
