A wheel-thrown porcelain vase, trimmed and coated with a clear glaze on the inside and a glossy white crackle glaze on the outside, was fired in a kiln at 2200°F. The vase was then painted with 22K gold on the rim and body and fired a third time. Finally, black acrylic paint was applied and wiped off the outside of the vase to accentuate the crackles.
Care info:
Wipe clean with soft cloth. Hand-wash with gentle detergent if necessary. DO NOT SCRUB. NOT dishwasher nor microwave safe.
Note:
Please note that each vase is handmade, so there may be small imperfections and variations, which add unique character. The glaze is brushed on by hand resulting in small spots, drips, crackles, etc. Some color variations may also appear due to the firing process. These variations showcase the handmade quality of the creation.
