Perspective Vase - Round Porcelain Vase with carvings and texture in Black and White

This hand-made porcelain vase was inspired by an idea to looking at the same thing with different perspectives in our lives. The two halves symbolize two opposite perspectives in one unity

Made of high-grade porcelain;

White rim and black bottom in its designs;

Black porcelain chip decorated surface on its top half;

Black slip-decorated surface with hand-carved round patterns on the bottom half;

A wheel-thrown, trimmed porcelain vase with black slip decoration, hand-carved patterns and details. The vase is coated with a clear glaze and fired in a kiln to 2200 F.  The inside of the vase was coated with a clear glaze.

The glaze is applied either by hand or dipped in a bucket, resulting in small spots, drips, crackles, etc. Some color variations may also appear due to the firing process. These variations showcase the handmade quality of the creation.
