This jar is made of high-grade porcelain that is crafted on a potter's wheel. The texture is added to the jar body and lid at the leather hard stage of the process. The jar lid is tapered to fit the body perfectly and doesn't fall out easily. Once bisque fired, both jar and lid are coated with a semi-translucent celadon glaze and fired to 2200 F.
The jar is microwave, dishwasher-safe, and food-safe. However, it is recommended that the jar be hand washed to prolong its longevity.
