This jar is crafted from high-grade porcelain on a potter's wheel. After bisque firing, the jar and lid are coated with a glossy blue glaze containing crystals and a white glaze on the knob and rim. They are then fired at a temperature of 2200 F. Finally, the jar lid is coated with 22 K gold and fired for the third time.

The jar is food safe but NOT microwave or dishwasher-safe due to the 22 K gold luster. It is recommended that the jar be hand washed to prolong its longevity.
